On December 21, 2017, 2017 “All-around King” Shuren English Speech Contest jointly organized by DynEd and Beijing Shuren-Ribet Private School ended with a great success.
The Contest is a mirror that reflects Shuren’s achievements of English teaching. The Contest is a platform that encourages learning, cooperation and friendship among the students. The Contest is a stage that demonstrates the periodical achievements and delivers positive energy of English learning. The Contest received great supports of the management team of Shuren as well as active response of all students and teachers who use DynEd’s courses. More than 250 teachers and students participated in the Contest as contestant or judge.
The Contest consists of three parts: preliminary, quarter-final and final. On December 21, efforts of the students finally paid off. 27 primary, middle and high school students got the final. The audience was greatly impressed by their talent, self-introduction and their excellent answer to the jury’s questions. Trueborn pronunciation and intonation, quick-witted reaction, skilled answers as well as the basic skills that the contestants have developed from Shuren’s English teaching won big applause for them. Finally, 12 students stood out and respectively won the first, second and third prizes. 8 winners are from primary school group and the other 4 from middle and high school group.
On the Award Ceremony, three judges coming from Shuren and DynEd, Mr. Norm Harris (DynEd), Ms. Irina Zhurenko and Mr. Matthew Mead (Shuren), presented “English All-round King” Certificate and prize to them and encouraged them to continue to exert themselves.
On behalf of DynEd, Mr. NormHarris, Global Education Director of DynEd, also gave Authentication Certificate to the first 21 Shuren students who are qualified with the certification of DynEd. These students have completed the required DynEd courses and successfully passed the tests. This Certificate not only proves their English proficiency, but also recognizes their great efforts.
