I once attended a SAP accounting system training session. The teacher was a foreigner; as you can imagine, his explanations and PPT were all in English.  Although I had a lot of questions, I kept silent. For a long time, I suffered similar sorts of experiences. I was always envious of those who could speak English fluently. I dreamed that one day my English would be as good as theirs.

In order to improve my English, I tried many methods, such as: memorizing a lot of vocabulary, taking lots of tests, signing up for various English classes. However, all of my efforts failed.  I still can’t speak.

In mid 2018, I came across neo for the first time.  In just a few months, I saw a big change in my English.  Soon, I no longer needed to think about grammar or struggle to remember the right words before I spoke; I just started speaking naturally. neo seems to have imprinted the correct expressions on my mind.  And somehow it also helped to correct my pronunciation.

In the speech recognition practice lessons, neo uses green words to indicate recognized words and red words to indicate words that are not recognized. The higher the recognition rate, the more interactive points I gained. I was eager to see more green words and more points. It was just that simple.  My fluency and pronunciation grew stronger and stronger with frequent and intensive practice.

The neo program also includes excellent face-to-face sessions with a teacher. After studying and practicing the neo content until I know it well, I schedule a one-on-one coaching session to further practice with a teacher. I can still clearly remember one of those classes. I talked about my favorite food, and with her help, even described the process of making a pie. Before that, I never thought I would ever be able to talk about such a complicated thing. I felt a great sense of achievement and happiness about my English for the first time.

neo has really built my confidence in English. Now I realize that anyone can learn English if they study the right thing in the right way… like neo.  Now I have a new goal, to get my B2 Certificate!
